About Elsa

If you woke up tomorrow morning and your life was what you want it to be, what would it look like?

I believe my purpose as a therapist is to help adults to identify the answer to that question; to help achieve goals such as managing stress and anxiety, depression, enjoying life more, feeling more positive, assertive and self confident, and communicating and  interacting better with others.  I help people develop tools to make progress towards the goals they identify in answer to that question.  I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy with a focus on cognitive and behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and identifying and utilizing peoples strengths, wants and needs.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin -Superior with a Bachelors of Science degree in an individualized major which focused on Wellness with concentrated study in psychology, communication and health.  I graduated with a 3.95/4.0 GPA from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Masters of Science in Guidance and Counseling.  I have attended numerous trainings on a variety of subjects and attended the ACA Convention in Boston, MA in 2000.  I have also completed coursework in Business Law, Communication, Personnel, Advertising, Accounting and Art.

I am a licensed professional counselor and obtained my license in 2006.

I have been working as a therapist since 2001.  I completed my practicum with an EAP and co-facilitated an anger management group for adolescent males.  I have worked as a behavioral specialist, a mobile therapist, part of an intensive home treatment team and an outpatient therapist seeing children, adults, couples and families.  In recent years I have narrowed my focus to helping adults and couples.
